Become a Team ’18 Leader
Organizing for Action is seeking volunteers to join the Team ’18 Leadership program, which will bring together energized, experienced individuals from across the country who are ready to make a difference. We are seeking people who are passionate about developing new organizers and are excited about representing OFA in a collaborative working relationship with local campaigns in your community.
The stakes couldn’t be higher this year. Congress has enabled the White House’s damaging agenda—including their incessant efforts to sabotage Americans’ health care, their approval of a massive tax scam that put billionaires before working families, and their failure to take meaningful action to end gun violence.
How can we fix it? By electing officials who will represent their constituents instead of putting partisan politics ahead of the health, well-being, and economic security of the American people. We can also insist that our districts are drawn more fairly, and work to end gerrymandering. Common-sense solutions are possible when voters choose their representatives, instead of the other way around.
That’s why OFA Team ’18 is showing up this year. In districts and states across the country, we will harness grassroots power for the 2018 midterms—and hold members of Congress accountable for the votes they’ve taken in Washington. Team ’18 will also partner with former Attorney General Eric Holder’s redistricting effort to fight to end gerrymandering through state-level elections and support of key ballot measures.
As a Team ’18 leader, you’ll work alongside OFA volunteers, progressive partners, and local campaigns to get people in your community ready to take action in 2018. You’ll reach voters about the issues that are important to vote on in November, and help elect politicians who align with our values.
We will provide you with coaching, development, mentorship, and workshopping (as well as some pretty cool OFA Team ’18 gear, too!).
With control of the House of Representatives in the balance and the once-in-a-decade opportunity to help restore fairness to our democracy, this is the moment to get involved.
If you’re passionate about organizing, learning, developing a team, and working with campaigns that are important to your community, apply today to become a Team ’18 Leader.
Tell us a little bit more about yourself!
We’d love to get to know a little bit more about you, as well as dive into the Team ’18 Leadership program. Once we receive your form, we will schedule a time for an OFA staff member or volunteer leader to have a conversation with you!
The OFA Team ’18 Leadership Program is unpaid and is not expected to lead to an offer of permanent employment.
